When you decide to have an opt-in list, it is not just a matter of sending your subscribers your promotional newsletters or catalogs. There are many things to consider in avoiding many complications. While there are so many ways you can make people subscribe to your list, there are also some things you must do to avoid subscribers from wanting to get off from your list.

Aside from that, you also want to avoid any problems with the law and your internet service provider or ISP. There are now many laws and rules that are applied to help protect the privacy of the internet users from spamming and unwanted mails. With the popularity of the electronic mail as a medium for marketing because of the low cost, many company’s have seized the opportunity and have flooded many people’s e-mail accounts with promotional mail.

But, with an opt-in list, you avoid this annoyance because people subscribe to the list; they want to receive the newsletters and promotional materials. They have consented to being on the list by subscribing themselves, just don’t forget to put an unsubscribe feature everytime in your opt-in list so that you avoid any confusion. There may be times when an email account was provided when the real owner didn’t want to subscribe.

It is essential that you keep your list clean and manageable. Arrange it by using the many tools and technologies available for your opt-in list. Do not worry; your investment in this marketing strategy is well worth it with all the coverage you will get which will likely be converted into sales then to profit.

Keep yourself and your business out of trouble and potential run-ins with the law and the internet service providers. Keep your operation legit and clean. Your reputation as a legitimate businessman and a legitimate site depends on your being a straight and true marketing strategist. As a tip, here are three things to avoid when emailing your list.

1) Take notice of your unsuccessful sends. These are the e-mails that bounce. Bounced emails, also known as undeliverable messages, are those messages that, for whatever reason, were not successfully received by the intended recipient.

There are bounces that happen or occur because the server was busy at that time but can still be delivered in another time. There are also bounces because the inbox of the recipient is full at that time. There are those bounce messages that are simply undeliverable ever. The reason for this is that it may be an invalid email address, a misspelled email address, or an email address that was abandoned and erased already.

Manage your list by putting markings on those that bounce. Erase an email account from your list so that you have an accurate statistics and records as to how many are actually receiving your mail. You may also want to check the spellings of your email addresses in your list. One common mistake is when an N instead of an M is placed in the .com area.

2) Always provide an unsubscribe feature in your site and an unsubscribe link in your mails. When someone in your list files a request to be unsubscribed, always take that request seriously. If you don’t take them off your list and keep sending them your e-mails, you are now sending them spam mail.

When you are reported as a spammer, you and your business can get into a lot of trouble. You can be reported to the authorities and maybe blacklisted by many internet service providers. You will lose a lot of subscribers this way and many more in potential subscribers.

3) Do not provide pornographic or shocking and disturbing content in your newsletters. It is hard to decipher the age of the recipient and many complaints may stem from these. Controversial issues also are to be avoided to not be branded by your subscribers. Stick to the nature of your site and business.

Always remember these tips in this article so that you can have a healthy relationship with your subscribers as well as be kept within the boundaries of what is allowed in sending mails to an opt-in list. Need help with your mailing list contact the Dynamic Admin @ Dynamic Administrative Support Services.

Don’t think you have to be perfect before you start a new task or enterprise. Everyone starts somewhere. So start wherever you are right now.

How to kill perfectionism

I have found that perfectionism and procrastination are two sides of the same coin. They are, in fact, twins. We frequently delay in tackling a task, we say, because we want to make sure that we doing everything perfectly. However, deep down inside, we have to come to terms with our own self-doubts and lack of confidence.

Think about whether you hesitate when it comes to something you know that you’re good at. When we excel at an activity, we jump right in. If the activity is something that plays to our strengths, there is no reluctance to start. To overcome your hesitation, you first need to acknowledge your fears and face them openly. Then you can dispel them as you take bold, massive action toward your dreams.

How to let go of perfectionism

A lot of people want to know how to stop perfectionism. Well, when you have a goal which is simply too big to ignore, you can stop perfectionism in its tracks. When your motivation is great enough, you will move forward.

Consider what you would do if I asked you to walk on a high wire 20 feet in the air with no safety net. You probably wouldn’t do it. But if your child was in danger and walking on that same high wire was the only way to save them, you would. You don’t need to be perfect to take action. You just need to have something important that you want to achieve.

You Can Beat Perfectionism

Don’t put off starting your business because you don’t have all the answers. It’s ok not to know everything when you start, but you need to get started. Napoleon Hill, author of “Think and Grow Rich”, said, “Don’t wait. The time will never be just right.”

You must start with the tools at hand. As you require them, more tools will be made available to you. I understand that you might be a little fearful as you approach starting your own internet business. That’s understandable. You are stepping out of your comfort zone, but don’t let perfectionism stop you from accomplishing your goals.

Everyone has to start somewhere. One good example is a heart surgeon. I bet the now-esteemed cardiologist was a little bit hesitant when she did her first quadruple bypass operation. But she had confidence in her training and knew that the only way she would develop her skills and build confidence was to start doing it. And if you needed her in an emergency, you wouldn’t be worried about what her GPA was in medical school.

Examine your passions. What do you truly want to achieve in your lifetime? That may be just the place for you to begin your new business. Of course it is usually beneficial to have a record of achievement in some area – in academics, in athletics, in service to others, or in the arts – because that indicates that you have a history of discipline towards reaching your goals. But you definitely don’t need to be an expert business person before you start to grow your business.

Let me help you overcome procrastination so you can begin succeeding in your business and in your life. Remember, perfectionism is the enemy of accomplishment.

A site designed for people to write or blog about a number of various topics. There are many factions of the site for a wide range of different people to enjoy. When users first go to the web site they can just browse around and read different articles by various people.

One can even go a step further, join the site, and become a member. Membership grants you a Profile page, with a summary for yourself and completes it with a picture. As a member or hubbers of Hubpages.com, you can now write your own articles and blogs and publish them on to the site. They have a topics page with topics like movies, fashion, automotive, food, health, sports, finance, travel, business, family, politics, animals, relationships and gaming. I have personally read some great articles there. “Homemade soap-How to make soap at home” is one of the most popular articles on the site, along with “Winter Olympics 2010 Team USA: Women’s Snowboarding”.

Members of the site can follow different writers that they enjoy work from and will get their new article when they publish it. Hubbers can comment on works and address their likes or complaints. Another great tool on the site is the Answers page, where hubbers can ask various questions and get responses from other hubbers. Questions range from “Why wear a tattoo?, What makes you feel cheated?, Is it right for a Christian to accept blood or organs donated from a Muslim person?, How can I keep my laptop running fast? These questions are replied to with various answers and voted on to see which one answers the question the best.

As everything else on the site, the voting is user based which means done by the hubbers. So whats on your mind?, is there a topic you wish to share?, then join Hubpages.com and get started writing about different topics that interest you. Enjoy other various hubbers in the process with their personal works.

Adding Twitter updates to LinkedIn makes the site more dynamic and is a good move for both companies. For political and advocacy organizations, this is important because it will give LinkedIn a more prominent role as an aggregator and channel to reach potential donors. According to the NYT article:

LinkedIn’s 51 million members will now be able to send status updates — such as the fact that they are looking for an analyst on a certain topic, or posting a job opening — to Twitter on a case-by-case basis, and vice versa. People will also be able to add a section to their LinkedIn profile that contains their most recent tweets and view other people’s tweets when searching LinkedIn.

by VANA member Diana Ennen

For those of you who are still in the dark, a Virtual Assistant, or VA, is an executive level, administrative professional who works from his/her own office to support clients using some of the latest available technology. The Internet has brought many skilled professionals out of the
corporate environment and back into their homes, enabling them to create a better work-life balance, while still performing in the roles they love. The VA is one such professional. Working from their home-based offices and making use of the Internet, telephone, fax and email, VAs are
able to offer small and medium-sized businesses a quality of administrative support, previously only available to the corporate giants, in a cost-effective manner.

A Virtual Assistant’s service offering may vary, but you are guaranteed to find one out there who is able to perform the exact functions your business needs. You will find that hiring a VA will REVOLUTIONIZE your business.

A VA brings invaluable work experience and training to the table. You may even find that they will teach you a trick or two. Be it software, hardware or grammar, you can be sure that your VA knows his/her stuff!

Because VAs run a business themselves, they have a unique understanding of what your needs as a small business owner are. They will be able to assist and advise you on matters pertaining to Marketing, Branding, Web Design and e-Commerce. What avenues of advancement have you not yet explored with your business? Are you sure that you have all your bases covered? Your VA can help.

Get organized. If you attend conferences and AGMs I’ll bet you have a ton of business cards cluttering up your desk. Let your VA scan and enter them into a database for you. Future mail campaigns will be a breeze with a ready-made contact list all neatly stored on a CD.

Is there a special project boiling over on the back-burner that you’ve been wanting to do? Your VA can help with research, planning and coordination, leaving you free to continue your focus on your core-business function.

If you’re too busy to remember important dates, anniversaries and meetings, your VA, with a tailored reminder service, can assist. From ordering flowers for your mother, to sending a thank you note to a client and even arranging gift baskets for investor, they aim to
please.

Conceptualizing marketing items can be agonizing if you don’t have the know-how, equipment or creative flair. Most VAs have a wide range of software packages at their finger-tips, as well as experience in creating flyers, brochures and business cards for their own company’s.
Put your ideas to your VA, they will dazzle you with the results.

Planning a much-needed break with your family? Let your VA take care of the details; flights, car hire, accommodation, even a list of must-see places of interest. Your VA can handle it all, down to the very last detail.

If you’re on the road a lot, chances are your cell-phone is often out of signal range and there is no one in your office to take a message should that all-important client call. With the call answering service provided by many VAs, you can divert your calls and rest assured
that your client will receive the personal touch rather than dealing with an annoying automated answering device. Your messages will be passed on to you in order of importance and you won’t need to sort through lengthy messages on voicemail.

Conferences and networking functions can take a lot out of a small business owner. It is imperative that you attend and make a dazzling show of it, but in order to do so, you have to neglect existing clients. This will no longer be a problem with a VA. They can handle all your
conferencing arrangements; table-hire, banner design and creation, even gift bags for client samples. It’s that easy!

10. If you have a lot of correspondence, and you’re a bit of a keyboard klutz, your VA can help. Many VAs offer a fully digitized transcription service. Simply record your memos/letters onto your computer and email them to your VA, s/he will have it neatly typed and ready for mailing in no time!
